BLACK MATERNAL HEALTH WEEK
Spring
During the week of April 11 - 17, Care Ring will raise awareness of the Black maternal health crisis as well as funds for Care Ring. This year's event featured remarks from civic leaders at all levels of government, from local to national, and presented the award-winning documentary, “Aftershock,” followed by an expert panel discussion, to provide further education on the crisis, to share how Care Ring is improving outcomes for Black mothers and their children, and a call to action. CAROLINA 10K CLASSIC PRESENTED BY IVY REHAB
Formerly the OrthoCarolina 10K Classic, Care Ring is an annual beneficiary of this super-fun 10K and 5K run, which includes a sponsor and vendor Expo, food trucks and free beer for runners. Care Ring provides volunteer support for the race, and shares information about our mission at our Expo booth.
CARE RING IN THE COMMUNITY
Care Ring believes that being out in the community and meeting people in the places they live and work is very important. You will frequently find us at health resource fairs and assisting with health services events alongside our many community health partners. We also provide services at the Grier Heights Community Center several times per month.
